RoHS Compliance Statement:

In an effort to reduce or eliminate environmental pollution and improve the quality of human health the European Union (EU) has adopted Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament which will restrict the use of the following hazardous substance for electronic equipment effective June 8, 2011:

• Lead per exemption 6 • Cadmium • Mercury
• Hexavalent Chromium
• Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE)
• Pentabromodiphenyl Ether (PentaBDE)
• Octabromodiphenyl Ether (OctaBDE)
• Decabromodiphenyl Ether (DecaBDE)

As of June 8, 2011, all items sold by Electro Hardware will be in RoHS compliance. Parts manufactured from brass, aluminum, and steel are compliant under the EU RoHS Directive per exemption 6, lead as an alloying element.

Parts manufactured out of stainless steel, nylon, phenolic and teflon are fully compliant with the directive and do not contain any deca-BDE or any other substances restricted by this directive.

R.E.A.C.H. Statement:

European Union Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals Electro Hardware electronic hardware and fasteners is aware of the REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals Regulation, EC 1907/2006), the European Union regulation that is intended to regulate the use and importation of chemicals and substances into the European Union.

Electro Hardware does not supply or distribute any products that intentionally release any chemicals or substances of concern as detailed in the REACH regulation. Therefore Electro Hardware is not subject to the REACH regulation's registration requirements: Paragraph 32 and Chapter 2 (3.3).

A list of Metals below used by Electro Hardware in supplying of electronic component hardware, as indicated by DFARS Clause 252.225-7009, Preference for Domestic Specialty Metals, Alternative 1, as classified in 225.7003-5 (A)(2).

The Metals used by Electro Hardware are classified as follows:

• Stainless Steel: is Compliant
• Steel (12L14): is exempt of this Requirement
• Aluminum: is exempt of this Requirement
• Brass: is exempt of this Requirement
• Nylon: is exempt of this Requirement
• Delrin: is exempt of this Requirement
• Teflon: is exempt of this Requirement
• Phenolic: is exempt of this Requirement
• Lexan: is exempt of this Requirement
• Ultem: is exempt of this Requirement
• Tefzel: is exempt of this Requirement

WEEE Statement:

(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)

The European Union has adopted a directive, article 3a, concerning the disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Electro Hardware's products are not subject to this directive.

Electro Hardware can not certify the compliance and will not be responsible for any materials or finishes that contain restricted substances that are requested by our customers.

Electro Hardware will not assume liability for the disposal of our products. Any product supplied by Electro Hardware that may require future disposal will be the responsibility of the purchaser in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Conflict-Free Minerals Statement:

Electro Hardware is an environmentally and socially responsible supplier that does not use any conflict materials in our supply of Electro Hardware electronic hardware. We have never used these materials in the past.

Electro Hardware complies with the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The goal of the act is to cut direct and indirect funding of armed groups engaged in conflict and human rights abuses.

Opposition to Human Trafficking Statement:

Electro Hardware does not support, directly or indirectly, any organization that engages in human trafficking. Electro Hardware adheres to all laws and regulations related to immigration and employment and expects all its business partners to do so as well. All partners of Electro Hardware must certify that any materials used in its products must comply with laws regarding slavery and human trafficking in the countries in which those suppliers are doing business.
